The musical ‘The Little Mermaid’ was being performed for the first time in 2007 and tells the story of the beautiful young mermaid Ariël. She has an obsession for people and their goods, something not appreciated by her father, seaking Triton. When Ariël saves the life of human prince Erik, she falls in love with him. To be with Erik forever, she makes a deal with the mean seawitch Ursula. Ursula promises to transform Ariël into a human being with legs, but under two conditions. Ariël has to give Ursula her voice and if she doesn’t kiss Erik within 3 days she will never get her voice back and will forever be in Ursula’s power. ‘The Little Mermaid’ contains multible recognizable songs like ‘Part of Your World’, ‘Kiss The Girl’ and ‘Under The Sea’, made by multiple Academy Award winner Alan Menken, with lyrics of Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater. The script of this musical was written by Pilitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Doug Wright.
