A first glance at Ianthe Tavernier as she portrayes Ariël in the world famous
Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid’..

The fact that Ianthe Tavernier (‘De Buurtpolitie’ and ‘Steracteur, Ster Artiest’) can call herself the new Flemish princess (after Josje Huisman’s portrayal as Belle) has been made clear before. Ianthe will play the role of world’s most beloved mermaid Ariël. Juan Gerlo (‘Ghost Rockers’ and ‘Familie’) plays her mayor crush, Prince Eric.

Starting December 13, both actors will shine on one of the biggest stages known in Flanders (Flanders Expo Ghent).

Today, Disney fans are getting spoiled as Marmalade will offer a little sneak peek on how Ianthe and Juan will look like playing their roles.

It’s not a coincidence that ‘The Little Mermaid’ is the successor of the mayor live show ‘The Beauty & The Beast’; in fact, they will be celebrating it’s 10 year anniversary and will be the first ever live show held in Belgium, EVER!

“In comparison to last year’s show, this one will be an unforgettable one too!” Yoshi Aesaert, CEO and producer of Marmalade adds to the story. This means that people can expect a once in a lifetime experience which hasn’t even been done before in mayor cities like London or New York.

A lot of Disney fans are looking forward on how the role of Sea With Ursula will be portrayed.

Ursula (played by Anne Mie Gils) has been described by numerous fansites around the world to be Disney’s most legendary villain.

“The most evil villain of all time would definitely be Ursula!” Anne Mie tells us. “Ursula is more fabulous than Cruella De Vil en possesses more evil in her tentacles than every other angry queens combined!”

Also, her curves are being celebrated too; “Never underestimate the power of body language”.

Anne Mie is flattered of fans looking forward to her portraying that role; “Patience is a beautiful thing, but I promise you won’t be disappointed”!
